Friday 13th November was Children In Need Day. All pupils came in non-uniform for the day and donated up to £1 to the cause.
Children in Need is a charity that believes every child in the UK should have a childhood which is:
- Happy and Secure
- Allows them the chance to reach their potential
The picture below shows three of our Year 10 pupils-from left to right-Andrew Graham, Kayden Stainsby and Leo-Jack Williams-Jervis. Firstly, the boys designed their own posters to display around the school site to raise awareness. Secondly, they requested staff to bring in non-perishable food items and put together a hamper that they are donating to a local food bank this week.
Mr Endy commented “the boys came up with the idea to mark a worthy cause having discussed their ideas. They wanted to provide children with a food parcel off the back of Marcus Rashford’s recent school meal campaign. I’m delighted that not only have they come up with the idea, they have raised awareness and children will benefit from the food hamper.”
